Academic Scholarships/Which is more important GPA or GMAT? [#permalink]
10 Dec 2006, 13:19
Just wondering what is more important for academic scholarships, GMAT or GPA
The school I applied to has median and average of a 620 and the middle 80% is 540-700.Average GPA at the school is a 3.23
My stats are a 3.81 QPA and a 690 GMAT
Any chance of a scholarship? Did I mess up by not getting over 700?
One thing is I am guessing most of the 700+ scorers at the sc hool are foreign as 50% of the class is international. Since I am your average white guy, would they give the 690 more weight?

The rumor is that GMAT is more important for scholarships, but I have never seen any data to back this up.
