acc. to a recent study, a diet that is free of diary and meat products greatly reduces the risk of suffering a heart attack. The study cites the fact that only 10% of those who consu,es such a diet suffer a heart attack at some point in their lives.

Which of the folllowing would most seriously weaken the argument above?

(A)Dieets free of meat and dairy are low in calcium, which can lead to bone density decreases.
(B)Those who consume only dairy but not meat are twice as likely to suffer a heart attack as those who consume neither meat nor dairy.
(C)Some pple who consume neither dairy nor meat suffer 2 or more heart attacks over the course of a lifetime.
(D)Meat and dairy products are high in low density cholestorel, which is known to harden arteries and cause other heart problems.
(E)7% of those who consume dairy and meat regularly suffer heartt attacks over the course of their lifetime.

I think this is C

argument says that only 10% of people who don't consume meat or diry products get heart attack. To weaken it, you have to prove that avoiding meat and dairy WILL give you heart attack. Therefore C, satisfies the question.

I disagree with E. I think saying that 7% "regularly suffer heart attacks" doesn't mean the same as saying that 7% "suffer a heart attack". In fact, logically if 7% regularly suffer heart attacks, the percentage of people who suffer only one heart attack in their lifetime should be greater than 7% and probably greater than 10%. Therefore I think C should be the best answer and I do not understand why is it E. Could you please help me?

POE = process of elimination
My bad now I think answer is not E but C
Author wants us to believe that diet containing milk and meat is not good for heart and 10% people taking this diet suffer from heart problem
We need to counter this argument based on the fact
E, D ) will strengthen the argument
B ) changes the set so that cant be our answer
So C and A is remaining
C makes a counter attack by showing that heart problem can also come when not consuming milk and meat diet
