Is it B?

modeled.. after.. is the correct idiom so it's between B & D.
D face after his morther... is incorrect comparison.

modelled after that and like .. [#permalink] New post 08 Feb 2006, 15:18
"modelled after that of ......." is the right usage.

While I know that," modelled..... like" is wrong I am unable to explain why it is wrong. Could somebody explain it for me.

Also would it be wrong to say
"made the face of the statue after that of his mother and the body after that of his wife"
