millennia is plural hence it should be "indicate" and not "indicates". Choices D or E are wrong. Left are A,B,C.

B seems to be correct.

Subject is "pattern" therefore verb should be "indicates". I will go for "might be" over "may be" in this case because might shows less likelihood of this possibility.

My answer is E.

Looks like D to me.

A) as on the way mentioned "pattern" is the subject and is singular so singular verb indicates should be used. So A, B, C out.

Among D and E, "descendant of" is the correct idiom and "descendant from" . That leaves answer choice D.

B.

I would pick that for a different reason: female ancestor who "had lived" ... seems perfect - past perfect!!!
