1) more ~ than is correct. Thus, B and D are out.
2) show that S V is correct. Thus, C, D, and E are out.

I pick (A).

A looks best.

Correct construction - X & Y are more closely related to P than to Q.
Didn't read all choices. Too many animals for one SC!

A. clearly the choices are between A and B. first "that" is essential here so eliminate CDE. A and B, both, have more in common, so we need "than" to make the idiom complete, "more.........than".

As in B is wrong to make comparision.

this is real gmat-type question. good one...............
