Hi,

I have been using kaplan Q bank for my practice.

My accuracy for SC is 75% ( 148 answered correctly out of 198 ) , bad part is i can not see where i am failing in terms of difficulty wise, so i can not give you anymore statistics other than this.

The average time taken for the same ( again cant get it from the statistics of kaplan ) is around 1 min 10 seconds.

Do you think i am ready to take on gmat as far as SC is concerned, i mean i am asking this Q typically from the SC accuracy point of view, am targeting 700+

Or , if u think my above Q is too universal :), please give your comments for accuracy of 75% in your kaplan Q bank.

The Qs were taken in slot of 15-20 every time.

thanks

Hi Versatile,

Are you using the customization features of the quiz-bank to adjust the difficulty of your problems? If you're hitting 75% on high-difficulty problems only, that's a great sign. 75% on all difficulties low-high is a sign of progress, but isn't quite as impressive and might suggest you have a little more work to do to ensure you hit 700.

Good luck!

Eli

Hi,

Thanks very much for your insight.

My accuracy is 72% for those Q with high difficulties, actually i had only 60% accuracy in pronoun :( overall, so i worked on it later on and now i am doing good.

Do you think that the accuracy level of 75% correct answer across all categories ( difficult Q ) can help me score 700
( i know its a universal Q again :) , but still just trying to understand where do i stand and whether i am prepared to take on the challenge of scoring 700 0r not )

thanks again very much for your time

Hi Versatile,

As always, it's hard to make a generalization of practice materials to the real test, but it's certainly a good sign. But if you really want to know if you can pull of a 700, why don't you take a practice test and find out?

Hi,

I took gmat prep and scored 590 ( v-29, Q-44 )

My accuracy at OG is 70% in SC, 65% in CR and 60% in RC.

Do you think i am bad at fundamentals or you think i am bad at pacing ?

I feel really drained after 15 Qs of verbal , and really tend to loose concentration.

Please suggest how to practice Qs so i dont loose my concentration after a few q?

thanks

The best bet for improving concentration and focus is to just study. Keep working, and your endurance will build.

But also, remember to take breaks. A 74 minute test isn't that much harder than a 75 minute test, so 4 15-second breaks to close your eyes, breathe, and regain your focus can make a huge difference.

Sorry for the delayed response, but I hope this helps!
