Ad: for sinus pain, three out of four hospitals give their patients Novax. So when you want the most effective painkiller for sinus pain, Novax is the one to choose.

Which of the followings, if true, most seriously undermines the adтАЩs argument

A)Some competing brands of painkillers are intended to reduce other kinds of pain in addition to sinus pain.

B)Many hospitals that do not usually use Novax will do so for those patients who canтАЩt tolerate the drug the hospitals usually use

C)Many drug manufacturers increase sales of their products to hospitals by selling these products to the hospitals at the lowest price the manufacturer can afford

D)Unlike some competing brands of painkillers, Novax is available without a doctorтАЩs prescription

E)In clinical trials Novax has been found more effective than competing brands of painkillers that have been on the market longer than Novax

B says that many hospitals do not usually use Novax but did so only because their patients could not tolerate the medication they prescribed. Therefore, claiming that Novax is the most effective because 75% of hospitals give it to their patients is erroneous in the context that Novax was often used as an alternative...

D is best.

A .... out of scope..we are only concerned with effectiveness with sinus

B.....very general....no data provided... "Many" does not mean anything...
it could be 8 out of 100 hospitals who do that...it still wouldnt undermine the argument

C....how many hospitals...again ...no specifics.. these arguments need to have to some data for a better comparison...

E...this supports the argument in some way..

D .... if this is true, then the AD gives misleading information.
