Let me give a try

adjective phrase
An adjectival phrase answers these questions: ‘Which one?’ or ‘What kind?’

adverbial modifying phrase
The adverbial phrase answers one of these questions: ‘Where?’ ‘When?’ ‘In what manner?’ ‘To what extent?’
