First, thanks to everyone who has viewed this forum and equally contributed needed information. After saying this, here is the beginning of my $0.02
I searched this site endlessly while applying for MSA/MAcc programs, so I figured I would share info that I was looking for during my application process. My application status for BC's MSA program was updated on February 27th, 2014: I was accepted with a $15,000 merit-based award. That is not the purpose of this post, however, it is simply to relay info to help anyone with current and future admission questions/information needs.
Gmat: 640 (5.5 AWA); (first attempt, but on recent practice tests i've scored 670-710) Retaking soon. [simply because I may want to go to a T10 B-School in the approaching >5 years] Cumulative GPA (including non-business liberal arts core): 3.7 Business GPA (Excluding Liberal Arts Required Classes): 3.9 Accounting GPA (Excluding the Spring 2014 semester-in-progress): 4.0 Work Experience: Internship and full-time offer from Big 4 firm in NYC Non-Accounting Related: AT&T Corporate Internship; National Institutes of Health Summer Research Traineeship Additional info: Professional (Scholarly) Journal Publication (University of Toronto Press); Research Assistant for 3+ professors and multiple publications in-progress; Deans List Sophomore/Junior/expected senior year)/Finance Scholars.
