admission requirments [#permalink] New post 17 Mar 2012, 12:31
Hi all!

I am a graduate student from Russia. I am looking to continue my education in the US, and get a MS in accountancy (in NYC). Unfortunately, my GPA is really low. I haven't evaluated my B.S. degree yet, but honestly speaking I wasn't a decent student.

I was wondering if there are any business, finance or accounting courses or certificates (in NY) i can take in order to somehow offset my low GPA (by of course getting good grades) , and be more prepared in terms of studies.

Thank you in advance.

Well, the first obvious way to make up or it is to do very well on your GMAT, and the second is to complete at least one level of CFA if not all. It's very "academic" in nature, and if you succeed in these exams it can help offset your low GPA.
