Admission to top MS Acc for MBA holder w/15 yrs biz exp [#permalink] New post 02 Jul 2005, 09:51
I am considering pursuing an MS in Accounting.

I graduated SUNY Albany in 1990 with a BA in Economics (2.75 GPA)

I earned my MBA in Finance from Pace University (NYC) in 1999 (3.5 GPA)
(Completed part-time program while working full-time)

Based on the fact that I have almost 15 years of biz experience, and already possess an MBA, I'm wondering if I have a realistic shot at gaining admission to a top MS program (or at least in the top 20)

Aside from my low undergraduate GPA, my GMAT was a 510 (taken in 1996)

It looks like I might have to retake the GMAT, based on the requirements of a number of these schools.

Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated

(I did speak with someone at McCombs who said that if I retook and got in th high 500's, I'd have a shot)
