Admit to Wharton [#permalink] New post 15 Jul 2006, 13:43
I am very excited to share with all of you that I got accepted to Wharton even with not so great GMAT. I believe that most important factor that gets you into B-School is candidacy profile behind the GMAT and GPA, that is the person you are and your life story.

At the end of the day, here is what I learned: just be yourself. Because we all are unique, and if we can tell our story right, we all have a very compelling personal story that sets us apart from the masses. So the catch here is telling your story right. For that you may want to look at some sample essays as I have. That way, you know the tone and style of telling stories for maximum impact. In fact, I am selling all of the books that I bought recently, and you can have 'em at a reasonable price. Check the link below.

As for my profile, I was an average student with average GPA and GMAT. I have had three years of work experience as an accountant. But I strongly felt I am a good candidate for a top MBA not because what I have accomplished so far but because how I accomplished them and what do they mean to me, and even more so how a top MBA can help me achieve what I set out to do in my own little way.

Good luck!
