22 Mar 2006, 01:53
Hi Praveen, Paul, and everyone else,
I have been away from GMAT CLUB for a while but felt i should drop a post here regarding where things stand with my applications for the MBA programs starting in 2006. I today finally got a call regarding my acceptance to the full time MBA program at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. I applied in R1 and was put on the waitlist.
I am very relieved finally after this process which started almost a year ago with my preparations for the GMAT, to which you guys contributed greatly.
I look forward to keeping in touch with you guys, and wish everyone the best of luck for all their future plans.
Here are some of my stats
Age:23
B.S. Economics
Work Exp. : 2 years
Schools applied to :
Harvard
Wharton
Stanford
University of Chicago
Georgetown
University of Maryland
Loved my trip to U Chicago, and it was the one school that particularly impressed me, and i was praying very hard that i get in!

Thank you Hjort and Paul,
All this would not have been possible without all the help you guys have given me with respect to my school selection process and my preparations for my interviews.
I shall certainly be around and hope to have the opportunity to meet with you guys at some point in the future

Rupstar,
Congrats on the acceptance! Getting into a school like Chicago is truly a great accomplishment. I have come to realize how hard it is to get accepted to a top school. Your applications must have been very impressive. Good luck and congratulations again.

As another young guy from the state of Maryland, I would like to know one thing. Have the other schools been as willing to admit you? Congrats, GSB is a great school.

Congrats Rupstar.
Wow, 23, you are young! I also fell in love with Chicago after they hosted us at Fall Preview '05. Those guys seem to know how well to tempt folks like us.
Congrats again. Magnificient job!
