Admitted to Texas (McCombs) Class of 2013 Thread! [#permalink]

Anyone here but me?
Got the admit last week, pretty excited. I thought maybe we could discuss financing the mba, good apartments, classes, etc.
I'm waiting on a couple of other schools, but most likely will be heating to UT.
Looking forward to meet everyone at the Visit weekend in April....

Hi! Glad you started this thread. I'm in a similar boat to you. I'm waiting for a couple other schools but UT would be my first choice.
I was admitted about 3 weeks ago and got my flash drive about a week ago. The flash drive is pretty cool... lots of good info and it's making me eager to make my decision and hopefully head to UT!

Admit to UT. Waiting for the all important scholarship information. Without any financial aid I will not be able to attend UTA.

The admit student website is really helpful too and that's where you register for preview weekend etc. As soon as you get the email saying your status has changed, you'll have access. It took mine a little longer than they said for me to receive it. The official admit site is probably most immediately helpful, but the flash drive has things like course descriptions, detailed stuff about housing etc... good longer term stuff esp if you're pretty set on going to UT.

When will the scholarships be announced? March 15 is the deadline for accepting or declining the UT offer.

March 15 is my deadline too... when they called to tell me I was admitted, they told me I'd have scholarship info in 3-4 weeks. This was almost 3 weeks ago though, so I don't know if it will be faster for those of you admitted more recently.

I finally got the admissions email with the link to the admit site and stuff, but I can't access it till they update my status which they said may take a few days...

Has anyone seen the agenda for preview weekend? I thought I've seen it before somewhere (either on the website or with the flash drive materials), but I can't remember if I made it up or not. Congrats to everyone admitted!

I got dinged from ISB (my first choice). Now in a dilemma whether to take up the McCombs offer or not. Without a scholarship it will cost a whopping $120k!!. Any suggestions people? Does McCombs defer admission?

Congrats to all of you on the McCombs admit. I used to post here a fair amount when I was going through the process but it has been a while. I encourage each of you to consider what is best for you but would really endorse McCombs. I am in the midst of my first year and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Feel free to send me a message if you have questions regarding recruiting (still ongoing but IB has wrapped up and the class of 2012 did quite well), classes, Austin, or anything regarding McCombs. Can't help with web site issues or the like but am happy to share anything regarding the experience. I don't check this board often so send me a message and it will alert me via email. Good luck to each of you with the decision making process.
