I'm skipping admit weekend because it's going to be too expensive to get out there from the east coast. I was accepted to Georgetown and Vanderbilt, but will be matriculating to USC.

I'm interested to see where people are going to live. I was perusing Craigslist a little bit, but I'm not sure where the best place to live is. It doesn't seem like anything is too convenient (I guess that's what happens when you go to an LA school!)

Hey - also from DC and accepted to Georgetown and USC. Matriculating USC most likely. I'm looking at places in Downtown LA near Little Tokyo. In terms of location it's really convenient to get to USC.

Ahh, if only we were all so fortunate!

But I do have to say that at least the housing prices won't come as too much of a shock after living in downtown DC.

I know, I got reeeeallly lucky on this one. Let's just hope her loan approval goes through. What're you all planning on studying at USC?

I'm planning on going into the tech world, so I want to get a little bit of everything, but focus on entrepreneurship, with a technology concentration.

nice on the sister's condo. there are so many awesome places to eat around there!

Yeah - I walked around the area and grabbed some ramen last time I was in town. One of the things in living downtown that does concern me though is the traffic around L.A. Live & the Staples Center. Any night the Lakers or the Kings are playing, good luck getting anywhere (not so much the Clippers is what I hear though...)

Hey all! Question on USC Marshall housing if anybody knows...

I'm looking for a studio, bachelor, or 1-bedroom with my own private kitchen and bathroom. Through Marshall's site, I've found the following apartment complexes (off campus by a few blocks) that seem nice. I know the area is ghetto, the but the on-campus housing for grad students looks pretty awful.

Has anybody had experience or know anything about these? THANKS!!! :-D

Quite frankly, your choices are grim. Do you have a budget to work with? I could suggest a fee places if I know how much you are willingto spend and how far away you are willing to live...

Humphy-

Are you saying those locations I listed are just terrible?

My budget is probably $1,000/month tops...but if I want to live in safe neighborhood, obviously, so if need be, can adjust. I have a walking impairment, so living CLOSE to campus is also quite important.

Thank you so much!

Just curious, I got my MyMarshall Dashboard login information for the USC Welcome Site.

But does anyone know where the "check list" is for USC's Full time MBA Class of 2013 Program?

Was hoping to get an idea in a check list form of

1) When and how much is first tuition deposit due?
2) When and how much is second/final tuition deposit due (if there is 2 tuition deposits like many schools)?
3) Does USC do a Kroll background check or something similar and how much is that fee and when is that due?

Thanks!

Casual.

Recommended combo: flip-flops, shorts, a USC t-shirt and aviator sunglasses. ;)

:-D :-D That works!!

You should be able to find that in the "admit binder" section of the site I think.

The tuition deposit is $1500 and due on May 1 I believe. There is no second deposit. Haven't read/heard anything about Kroll yet.

I just received an email from DHL regarding a package that USC is sending me. I've already received the welcome binder and the original acceptance package back in February. Does anyone have any idea what this package contains because I'm out of the country for the next month and a half and I want to make sure it's not something important.
