Of the many over-the-counter medications marketed for the relief of sinus headache, SineEase costs the least per dose. And SineEase is as effective per dose as the most effective of those other medications. So for relief from sinus headaches, SineEase is the best buy.
Which of the following, if true, most seriously weakens the argument above?
(A) Most of the over-the-counter medications marketed for the relief of sinus headache are equally effective per dose in providing such relief.
(B) Many of the over-the-counter medications marketed for the relief of sinus headache contain the same active ingredient as SineEase.
(C) People who suffer from frequent sinus headaches are strongly advised to consult a doctor before taking any over-the-counter medication.
(D) An over-the-counter medication that is marketed for the relief of symptoms of head cold is identical in composition to SineEase but costs less per dose.

The answer is D.
I think "head cold" is irrelevant to the argument; however, if "head cold" in D is replaced by sinus headaches, I have no question.

D points out a flaw in the argument...the argument compares only those medicines that are specifically marketed for sinus relief...however many other multi purpose medicines , if suitable for sinus relief at a cheaper cost, weakens the argument.

Why not C? There could be other factors beyond cost and effectiveness that only doctors know. What about side effects, for instance?

As you've said,
there could be other factors beyond cost and effectiveness;
howevever,
the advertisement did not address factors beyond cost and effectiveness, such as doctor's prescription, so C cannot be the right answer.
For CR Weakening questions, a choice is wrong if it is irrelevant to the argument.

Remember D stated that the composition of the medicine marketed for "head cold" is the same as that of SineEase. I.e., it is the SAME medicine although not marketed to the same audience.
Hence, D is certainly the correct answer.
