Choice (C). It strengthens the claim that the advertises have left the publication because they were morally disapproved, not primarily because decreased sales/revenue. -- This choice eliminates the other possibilities.

Since we know they withdrew based on moral grounds: to strengthen the argument we just need to look for one they did on financial grounds. Leading to only (C) .
