Advice on "Peaking"--can I take 2 days before the GMAT off?

Advice on "Peaking"--can I take 2 days before the GMAT off? [#permalink] New post 19 Jun 2011, 06:55
Hi guys,

I've been reading a lot about not getting burnt out and maximizing one's energy for G-Day. I am already scoring where I would like to on MGMAT and my test is in a week. Would it be advisable to take one or two days off right before the exam (i.e. not do a CAT)? For those with experience, what would you recommend I do GMAT-wise during those days? Should I review error logs, or just not think about the test at all?

I took the two days prior to my exam off. I can't really comment on whether it helped or not, but I felt fine, and certainly don't regret taking the time off.

We recommend taking at least the day before your exam off. For some people, if you take Friday off, then your boss will work you late Thursday. Then you won't have much time to calm down and relax your psychological state.

Take Thursday off as well. That way--even if your boss works you Wednesday night, you can still feel relaxed the next day and psychological prepare for the big day on Friday.

I took the two days before the test off and felt refreshed and ready. During that time off, I advise you to simply relax and not think about the exam.

I would think that finding something refreshing to do would be absolutely necessary. I would go crazy just sitting around for two days waiting on the test. Work or study would be better than that for me!
