Disclaimer : I got the above question wrong, but I can tell you why Option C is not correct.

c.attended the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich, received in-depth training in quantitative analysis, and he developed

The "he" is not required here, and it causes option C to be wrong.

I however chose option D but I can see how Option A is better with parallelism. Thank you for posting this question!

Aside answer choice A all the others lack of parallellism.

Hope this helps you

PS: is not a 700 level. Maybe 600

Dealing with list of actions Einstein performed, and hence all the 3 must be parallel. In the non underline portion of the sentence, we have "Moving", hence the correct usage of the other 3 verbs must be in -ing form.

IMO it is A.

Hey guys thanks for solving the problem. You are right Vishnu the "he developed" changes the meaning

Also ",and" is wrong - as pointed out by Carcass

I was hasty and did not check for the availability of this particular question and solution - sry for that.

I searched for the original post after Carcass PMed me and it has similar explanation.

@carcass - The review screen of MGM cat showed this question at a level of 700, so took it on its face value :D
