childrens as a word does not exist, as children is already a plural of child. Therefore C

C.

We always add ('s) for singulars but for the plural words ending with (s) e.g friends, we use friends'.
Though children is plural word but it does not end with 's' so we will use children's (not childrens')

Hey Eyunni,

The list must be paralell. If you look, the list starts w/ verbs ending with -ing (i.e. providing, helping, etc.). The end of the list must be paralell with the others--so choices are between C and D since they start with "establishing..."

JJ,
Thanks for your explanation.
Just to clarify, do you mean to say that in
(B) the *establishing* of a fund for the future education of children

"the" is the problem? Could you have changed your answer if "the" in B did not exist? Also, what is the difference between these two clauses:
"establishing of a fund for the future education of children" and "establishing a fund for the future education of children"?.

I would really appreciate my doubt is clarified.
Thanks.
