Hey! I just came across your post and couldn't resist the temptation to add my few cents. I don't think it's late at all, most people in the B-schools are in your age group. I know it is difficult to switch careers after having worked for 8-9 years, but it's not impossible at all. A 2 year full-time MBA would be perfect for you because it will give you an opportunity to do an internship in a role of your choice, and then just try to materialize it into a job offer. A full time MBA will equip you with the skill set and the network required to switch roles. A part-time MBA would not really help switch roles, at the best you'll get a promotion! If you want to do an MBA then just go for it, don't worry about what people say. It's not late at all. in fact I believe that if there is a right time to something it is now! Good luck!
