Hello all,

Can someone help me with the Data Sufficiency problem 91 from OG11?

OG11 says the solution is E. However, I think it should be C.

My explanation:

%age=(Income 80 – Income70)/Income70

1 – Income70=(2/3)*IncomeCountryX (Not sufficient)
2 – Income80=(1/2)*IncomeCountryX (Not sufficient)

But together:

%age=[(1/2)*IncomeCountryX - (2/3)*IncomeCountryX]/ (2/3)*IncomeCountryX = [(1/2)-(2/3)]/(2/3)

Therefore, 1+2 are sufficient. Answer C

Where is my error?

Thanks a lot

The median income for country Y could stay the same, but the median income for country X can fluctuate.

If you post the complete question, you might get more help from other people. Not everybody on this forum has a OG11 book in front of them.

I'm afraid It's not allowed to post questions from that book (at least, that's what I understood from one of gmatclub rules)
