Tough pick between C and E...

I'd go with C because the flow is very smooth, and I think there's an error in the part "Aho, a Kiowa matriarch," of E.

Picked D.

C - why is she a matriach only in her home ?
E - the home that featured - sounds like the house was a mural.

answer should be D.

I had narrowed my choices to D and E. Other choices don't make the cut.
C mangles the tense (held festivals featuring the preparation),
B incorrect use of which
A incorrect use of they

Though E has a simpler structure than D, the use of "home that featured" seems to suggest that the home featured something when we are actually referring to the festivals.

E is wrong, cause it is not clear, whether festivals or home featured preparations.
