I believe the answer is D

A - "they" is referring the nearest preceding noun, which is "home".It is not the home that featured.. but the festival that featured...

B - implies that the home featured ...

C - Changes the meaning to imply that Aho was a matriach only in the house

E - implies that the home featured ....
