"E" is wrong due to usage of "that" a restrictive clause. "that" refers to "home" (immeduate previous noun), this changes the meaning of the sentence. Please refer to "restrictive & non-restrictive clause" explanation in "Advance grammer points" post!

E says "home that featured" giving the meaning that home featured the preparation. It is the festivals that should feature the preparations.

Hope it makes sense

Agree with Vivek buddy!! D it is :)

Btw, C contains an error of redundancy: "matriarch ....her home"

E is the ans. That clause is needed in this SC.

Agree with Vivek.

It was the festivals that featured, NOT the home

this one has been discussed already

http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... 0bbaf18821

if we include the text of the question in quotes (like "Aho, a Kiowa matriarch, held festivals in her home, they featured the preparation of great quantities of ceremonial food, the wearing of many layers of colorful clothing adorned with silver, and the recounting of traditional tribal jokes and stories") as the search phrase in google we can easily check if the q has already been discussed in gmatclub or not... i find this very useful cos it sometimes it points to some real exhaustive and informative discussions by paul, praetorian etc...
