I think D will win

Problem in E:

...........home that........

seems "homes: " featured the preparation of ceremonial food ... use of "that" after "homes".

Instead its the "festivals" that featured the preparation....

Hence D

Eliminate BE
its not the home which featured..

Eliminate C
in her home should signify festivals held in her home.

Eliminate A
Subject is not clear in A, relative pronoun is required with festivals to signify that festivals featured the things

IMO D

OA Please !!

I cannot agree with that.

"that" does not necessary has to refer to the previous noun (especially in this sentence in which "homes" is part of a prepositional phares)
Please clarify.

I would go with E, though D is very tempting.

If you read the sentence correctly, E means, the festivals held in home and that doesn;t make sense.
