well the school says "good GMAT" score.

during the briefing, the school says that applications will be viewed holistically and GMAT is not everything.

Every school says that apparently. But some schools, it seems, especially those just under those top 5-10, love playing the GMAT numbers game by trying to get their average and median GMAT higher than others. Apparently some ranking metrics look at the incoming class' average and median GMAT scores (as well as the median-80% range).

However, it is true that just a good GMAT score alone will not guarantee admission anywhere.

Well if you think you can improve , you just retake it , a 30-40 pt improvement will improve your chances big time !

Re: alas my own little GMAT journey [#permalink]
point noted.

according to gmat schedule, the next avail gmat date is 5-jan-2012 and closing date for applicatn to B-sch is end feb 2012.

had a work with the admin officer from the sch, he says my score seems ok, a strong quant score is more impt.

so now it is up to me if i want to better my own score....hmmm....
