I took Manhattan GMAT - I found it helpful as they focus solely on the GMAT.

Do we have to have been members for 90 days to have access to these tests? I thought we just had to pass the 200 post threshold...Had I known, I would've registered a long time ago. Grr.

So, may not be worthwhile. Also, I don't know if you need to take that many tests. I took 6 before my D-day.

This would be way too easy to do If you plan on getting a 700+ score, be prepared to encounter something you have not seen before.

Hey all - Total newbie question here, but I'm not sure. Recently took the GMAT, considering re-taking.
Do you get new GMAT Prep Software (ie. the 2 tests) when you sign up for the GMAT a second time? Or is the free download of the 2 tests a one shot deal?
Sorry if this is a lame question, I just wasn't sure if when you paid your $250 again, if you received new practice CAT tests.
Thanks. Rachel

Thanks. Rachel You do not get new practice CAT's when registering again, but you can always reinstall the GMATPrep Software to get 90% new questions the next time you take the CAT's.

Has anybody taken the Knewton's diagnostic test? I somehow found their scoring algo a bit weird. I scored a 610 (Q-46, V-27) but the number of questions that I got wrong are 6 (Quant) and 10 (verbal). There were hardly 3-4 wrong answers in the first 10-15 questions. has anybody faced such an issue.

Not personally--I haven't tried Knewton yet--but I've read about other people who missed very few questions and got lower Q/V than normal.

I just did the free Kaplan test and they were all questions from the OG! I'm not even sure if it was a CAT. Why would Kaplan repeat all the questions in its practice test from the OG? Wasted my 2 hours!

What are people's thoughts about the official GMAT Prep tests? I read they are the only ones with actual GMAT questions, but I've also heard people say that they're easier than the actual exam and don't give you a great indication of what your score will be. What do folks here think?

I did better on the Kaplan GMAT than the Petersons one. When I used the GMAT calc my score was in the Mid 600s.
