Best Comedians have unhappy childhood
Good Comedians – have – happy childhood
Some of Good Comedian + Miserable childhood = happy adults
Implies A. More good comedians have happier childhood
Implies B. More good comedians with happier childhood have unhappy adult hood

(A) The proportion of good comedians who had unhappy childhoods is greater than the proportion of the best comedians who did. (This is true. As we know, the percentage of best comedians is less than that of good comedians – eliminate it)

(B) Some good comedians have had unhappy childhoods and are unhappy adults. (It is possible as good comedians have tow sets – one with happy child hood and with miserable child hood and it is also true that some of the miserable child hood comedians have happy adult hood – eliminate it)

(C) Most of the best comedians are happy adults. (This is true – eliminate it)

(D) More good comedians have had unhappy childhoods than have had happy childhoods. (Hold it)

(E) The proportion of comedians who are happy adults is higher than the proportion who are unhappy adults. (True – miserable childhood comedians are subset of happy child hood comedians – eliminate it)

(Editing for explanation)

(A) Because ALL best comedians have had unhappy childhoods. It follows that the proportion of GOOD comedians with unhappy childhoods to happy childhoods can only be the same as that of best comedians at most, and not greater.
