1) In club Y the number of female members is one less than the number of male members.
2) In club Y the number of male Republican member is equal to the number of female Democratic members.

Statement 1
6:5 works, but so does 30:29 and those are different ratios.
INSUFFICIENT

Statement 2
1/2(m) = 3/5(f)
5/10(m) = 6/10(f)
30/60(m) = 30/50(f)
Ratio of 6:5 males to female
SUFFICIENT
