My vote is for C.
"credited with" is the correct idiom.

An easy one just to test "credited with" idiom and make sure everybody knows it. OA is indeed C

(C) is my choice.
(B) is wrong, it just doesn't sound right. Another thing about B
is the missing 'the' between for invention.
(D) - has been is incorrect
(E) - too lengthy and have been inveting is wrong ! Edison has already invented
and has been suggest he invented and is still inventing.
