A. Although in some women, new studies indicate that abnormally low levels of the light-sensitive hormone melatonin in them Wrong use of modifier, and some women and in them are sort of redundant which other sentences are not using.
B. Although new studies indicate that levels of the abnormally low light-sensitive hormone melatonin in some women I find this one best but still melatonin may contribute is direct than this option but it is not wrong.
C. Although new studies in some women indicate that abnormally low levels of the light-sensitive hormone melatonin We carryout study on and not study in.
D. Despite the fact that new studies are indicating abnormally low levels of melatonin, a light-sensitive hormone in some women that Wrong verb tense.
E. Despite new studies that indicate that in some women, abnormally low levels of melatonin, a light-sensitive hormone, Double "that" makes this option incorrect.
I will go with B.

Despite new studies that indicate that in some women, abnormally low levels of melatonin, a light-sensitive hormone, Well B has a modifier issue. The studies attribute ABNORMALLY LOW LEVELS OF MELATONIN as the cause; the melatonin itself cannot be abnormally low. It is the LEVEL of the hormone which could be low or high. So I pick E here.

The OA is E. From the OE, B suggests that the hormone itself is abnormall low, rather than that some women have low levels of it.
