If Each is followed by a plural subject, the subject is still treated as singular.
If Each follows a plural subject, the subject is treated as plural.
A) superficial such as when each of the three major networks
each of the three major networks is a singular subject, broadcast does not agree with it. S-V agreement error.

The phrasing of this sentence is not accurate. It should be if all of the three major networks

(C) for me. it states a condition "television can be superficial" and the conditional if is ideal in this case.
(C) is also a concise way of structuring the underlined phrase.

Allow me.. 
Here, each is used as an "Adjective" describing "Three Major Networks".
So main Subject is "Three Major Netwroks" and that is why we require verb in plural form.
Other Sentence:
Each of candies on the table is tasty.
However, in this sentence Subject is "Each" which is singular. So we will have to use verb in singular form.
