Although it claims to delve into political issues, television can be superficial such as when each of the three major networks broadcast exactly the same statement from a political candidate.

(A) superficial such as when each of the three major networks
each of the three major is singular, hence does not match with broadcast
(B) superficial, as can sometimes occur if all of the three major networks
Wordy
(C) superficial if the three major networks all
Correct
(D) superficial whenever each of the three major networks
each of the three major is singular, hence does not match with broadcast
(E) superficial, as when the three major networks each
each is singular

Can someone please tell the OA

I pick A. Nothing seems to be wrong with it.

B is too wordy & 'if' changes the meaning.
C 'if' changes the meaning
D 'whenever' changes the meaning
E I like this one but I prefer 'such as' in A vs 'as' in E. 'when each of the three major networks broadcast exactly the same statement' is an example of when TV can be superficial. Examples are expressed using 'such as' as in A.

Will go for 'B'

Hi Richard0715
The problem of C is not "change the meaning". C is wrong because "each of the three major networks" is singular, but we need plural noun because of verb "broadcast".
Hope it helps.
