E is not parallel ..
"to X ...to Y "...format is required ..which is missing in option E .

My best on C.

I am actually in favour of D.
In C, "support of" is wrong. At the very least, you need "the support of"

orange above => not parallel => eliminate A,B,E.

Among C/D
to seek support from is better than to seek support of. Go with D

"seek <verb> from" is correct.

Therefore, I'm going with (D)

IMO C . I think in D " the first of Britain’s national museums " is ambiguous .

I agree with parallelism but does it confirm the clarity?

"among the first of Britain’s national museums" does it mean that "Victoria and Albert Museum" is not the ONLY first. Other "first" museums are there and "Victoria and Albert Museum" is one of them??
