Although ...while is required to bring the contrast: yield was doubled but the costs were reduced

->eliminate C,D

A->changes the meaning of the sentence

E-> "that" is incorrect."those" is required

B it is.

A has a problem that previous years costs have been cut half but no reference for this years costs.
B clearly says that costs cutting to half those of previous year's.
