"it" correctly refers to "schedule".

I'll go with A: B omits "that" after "said", replaces "must" with "had to".
C is off the mark changing the meaning. D is vtoo wordy repeating "schedule". In E "everyone had been" can't refer to a forard-lookng schedule.
