I would go with A.

D is unnecessarily wordy and also employs faulty tense usage.

E is of course out because of SAYING.

B and C also employ faulty tense usage.

A is best. It's between A and D. D uses double conditional form and is wrong.
D) X would have to be posted so that both Y and Z would know...

A to me is wrong...the pronoun " it " is not clearly referring to any noun. I think D is the right answer.

it is referring to the schedule and nothing else... So A is the answer...
