Hello.
I am applying to 3 Schools.
1. Kellogg. 2. Harvard. 3. Columbia.

1. Undergraduate Education: History and Biological Anthropology at Cambridge University.
Result: 2.1 (Slightly lower than average in Yr 2; higher than average in Yr 3).

2. GMAT Score: 700 (40 Verbal; 44 Quant). AWA: 6.0.

3. Work Experience: 1 Year at Deloitte; 3 Years at Procter & Gamble.

4. Career Goal: To lead my family's company (specialising in value chain management and finance investment) and leading its two charities - through a philosophy called Caring Capitalism.

Do you think I am aiming too high?
At first, I did not think so - But I am worried that a 2.1 will not be viewed well by admissions directors.
If so, are there any specific schools you can think of I may be more likely to get in to?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Kusum.

You can never shoot too high. Go for it. You may not get it but you may get it. Look at Obama. What if he didn't aim as high as he did? Hillary would be president!! All we can do is try.

Kusum,

You might be aiming a little high. What is the percentile bread-down of your GMAT? The quant seems low to me. What have you been doing at Deloitte and more importantly at P&G?

Are you located in England?

Best,
Linda

Thanks!

I was located in UK, I moved to Switzerland last year.

I have been working as an Assistant Brand Manager (Marketing) at P&G.

My GMAT breakdown was 40 Verbal, 44 Quant.

Which schools do you think I am more suited to?

Is a 2.1 from Cambridge not rated well?

I was asking for the percentile breakdown of the GMAT. You gave me the raw scores, but from those it seems that your score is a little below average for those schools. Your work experience is impressive. Your 2:1 is OK, but nothing special at these programs. Cambridge is obviously excellent.

You have chosen your schools well given your goals, I also suggest you apply to other schools. Consider Darden, UCLA, and Duke.
