To answer your questions:
1) No.
2) I depends on your GMAT. If you GMAT is competitive, then your whole profile is competitive.
Good luck!

I took my GMAT on the 6th. Got a 700 (Q47, V38). Is that competitive enought for Stern - Partime weekend only.
What do you think I should focus the most between now and the application deadline?
I know that the simple straightforward answer to that questions is my essays. But do you have any insights in to which one particularly. Any more thoughts on the same would help me a lot.
Thanks,
-Sperumba

Sperumba,
Needless to say, your odds are better at BU, BC, and Babson than at NYU. If you score a 700 or better, you may have a shot at NYU, depending on the number of slots they have left and whether they think you might add something different to their entering class. That same GMAT will probably give you good odds of admission at one or more of BU, BC, and Babson. See Accepted.com's February 2004 newsletter for advice on applying in late rounds.
Good luck!

Thnaks Paul,
But I thought part time applications don't have rounds during the application process. The first deadlines for all these schools for partime program is MAY 15th.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks,

Sperumba,
It's possible that some of these schools begin evaluating applications and filling slots in the class before the final deadline. Whether they do or wait until the final deadline to begin evaluating apps will depend on the school, but it could affect your odds of standing out and getting in. My advice on your odds at the schools you mentioned still stands.
Good luck!
