23. An advertisements states:
Like Danaxil, all headache pills can stop your headache. But when you are in pain, you want relief right away. Danaxil is for you—no headache pill stops pain more quickly.

Evelyn and Jane are each suffering from a headache. Suppose Evelyn takes Danaxil and Jane takes its leading competitor.

Which one of the following can be properly concluded from the claims in the advertisement?

(A) Evelyn’s headache pain will be relieved, but Jane’s will not.
(B) Evelyn’s headache pain will be relieved more quickly than Jane’s.
(C) Evelyn’s headache will be relieved at least as quickly as Jane’s.
(D) Jane’s headache pain will be relieved at the same time as is Evelyn’s.
(E) Jane will be taking Danaxil for relief from headache pain.

Advertisement:
1) All headache pills stop headache
2) Danaxil gives instant relief
3) Danaxil stops headache faster than other pills

Which one of the following can be properly concluded from the claims in the advertisement?

(A) Evelyn’s headache pain will be relieved, but Jane’s will not.
- Out. We know that all headache pills will provide relief from the pain.

(B) Evelyn’s headache pain will be relieved more quickly than Jane’s.
- Supposing the advertisment is not exaggerating, yes, Eveylyn's pain will be relieved more quickly than Jane's.

(C) Evelyn’s headache will be relieved at least as quickly as Jane’s.
- No. We only know that both will get relief, but Evelyn would be faster if the advertsiement is true.

(D) Jane’s headache pain will be relieved at the same time as is Evelyn’s.
- Out. Same reasoning above.

(E) Jane will be taking Danaxil for relief from headache pain.
- Not nescessary, the competitor's pils may work better for Jane.

Click (C) and move on!

The passage says that no headache pill stops pain more quickly. That may mean that perhaps one pill (or some others that exist) may stop headache at the same time that Danaxil stops the same headache.

(B) does not consider what happens when the time of relief from headache of the two drugs are same.
