discount at price >500$

paid 459$ what was the actual cost not know insufficient

what is the retail cost insufficient
from 1&2
459/.9 = 510 ;
but its not sufficient to say that John actually actually got the discount
insufficient

I don't know how Bunnel marked E as correct choice.
Combination of statement- 1 and 2 can solve the question.
C seems correct.

If it is E, tell me how!

Hm, I was also confused about (C) vs (E). But I think I got the point now -- we don't know whether this price of $459 is BEFORE or AFTER the discount. Please correct if I'm wrong.
