Hi,

I am very new to GMAT and will take the exam on 22/08/2013. I get very confused with the structure of AWA.

On the official GMAT web page, it says that "The AWA consists of one 30-minute essay: Analysis of an Argument."

However, there are my sources saying that the AWA consists of 2 30-min essay: ANALYSIS OF AN ARGUMENT AND ANALYSIS OF AN ISSUE.

Can anyone please tell me which one is right?

Appreciate much.
Thank you very much.

Your sources are telling you about the old format. In previous years, there used to be two essays. Now, there is only one essay 'Analysis of an argument'. The other essay has been replaced by Integrated Reasoning section. The official GMAT web page will always give you the latest and correct information.
