D.

..sun reached....differed... should be the correct way of using past tense in this
sentence. so A , C and E are out.B is out coz using "which" 2 ce is unidiomatic.

I would say E.

This is the only choice which doesn't make an agreement error and uses two adjective phrases in parallel.

could you please elaborate a bit.

Determined...... and.... Differing :?

Would "differed" be wrong here?

the times will always differ from place to place, hence the present participle is used.
