hmm

I would venture to say A is Ok

I think it maintains || is...

bath in cold mile, bath in strawberries and bath in tub with cavier

C it is.
though A is parallel, C is more parallel because cold milk, crushed strawberries, and black caviar are all nouns meanwhile in A (to bathe in cold milk, in strawberries that had been crushed, or in bathtubs filled with black caviar )

strawberries that had been crushed and bathtub filled with black caviar are subordinate clauses

I would have chosen A for this. But why is A wrong. Can some one please explain.

I guess A is not favored coz it used "had been crushed" , which is unnescessary coz it doesn't describe any action happened before other actions in the past. Also, even if A used " were crushed" , it's still wordier than C.
