Accepted! Happily, I received 35k schol. per year :) Super happy! They are calling up to tell you about the scholarship offer...While I had seen the result online. Waiting for a formal email notification on the scholarship - Any clue when does it come? I was told that this email will come to me "shortly".

Thanks Prodizy.

To anyone who has already submitted their app--is there an opportunity in the submission process to save a PDF/view the entire app before actual submitting? I'm afraid of hitting the "Proceed to Submission" button if it doesn't give me that whole overview first.

FWIW, my recommender confirmed to me that each question has a 700 character limit, including spaces.

Yes, the submission process is a 2 step process. Once you "check your application" and click submit, you will be presented a screen where you can download the pdf version of the application and where you need to sign the honor code. You can still go back and make changes at this stage.

Once you confirm your submission (submit the second time), your application is locked and you are directed towards the payment gateway.

Hope this helps!

I suppose you should send 'UCLA Anderson' an email to confirm. There is a possibility that they may give some leeway for official scores to arrive later but I am not sure.

essen1976's comment sounds more logic. They only mentioned that the GMAT date should be before the deadline. So, it should be ok even if the score doesn't reach them before deadline. But they might need to see it before they make a decision. You can email them and ask. They have always replied promptly to all my emails before. Don't worry too much. You should be ok.
Good luck!

Once the application is submitted there is message that says - if you still haven't submitted your official scores, please make sure you send the scores to the school as soon as possible. I also remember reading that the ad-com can not send out admits until your self reported scores are verified with the official ones. I guess it means the ad-com will use your self reported scores for now, but make sure you send your scores asap to the school.

Just submitted my application for round 1

Yes, it says the school does not send out official admits until they get offical scores.

It says
"Official GMAT score reports are sent electronically upon your request from Pearson VUE to UCLA Anderson MBA Admissions (with the School Code 2NZ-2F-24). Official scores are required for enrollment but not for applying."

and
"Official TOEFL score reports are sent electronically upon your request from ETS to UCLA Anderson MBA Admissions (with the School Code 4837-02). Official scores are required for admission but not for applying. IELTS scores are sent by hard-copy mail upon your request."

You don't have to submit your official scores when you are applying.

Correct. I had the same question re: GRE scores. Self-reported scores will suffice to make a decision. They need the official copy for admittance.

Can anyone share interview experience already? Many thanks, C

Logistically, interviews should be driven mostly by 2nd year students (may include a small number of 1st year students but unlikely). UCLA Anderson tries to avoid alumni interviews if possible but I know that very generous alumni last year came down to the campus during Super Saturday last year.

Don't expect out of the left field questions and try to get your story down straight.

You shouldn't expect anything different than any other business school interviews (or professional interviews really).

Hi,

This is good news...someone from India ! Although converting the GPA to 4 point scale doesn't help. I have a 3.74 (according to WES), but really then 50% of my class would have scored a 4.0 !

Congrats and good luck brother. Keep us all updated..

Hello,

Just had my skype interview.

It lasted for 35 min and the interviewer was very nice and accomodating.

Questions were pretty much standard -
Resume walkthrouhg
short and long term goals
why MBA - why UCLA
A Failure

Overall , I am not sure how it went. Keeping my fingers crossed !

BTW - The interviewer did mention that they are tyring to get the decisions out much sooner than Jan.

Cheers,
r2k

Does anyone know where we can find the list of recommendation questions?

There are some sample ones provided online (below), but I'd like to get a list to my recommender prior to adding into name / email / etc into the system.

Quote:
Sample Recommendation Questions and Topics*
1. How strong is the candidate's focus in terms of being results-oriented, strategically-minded, and career-driven?
2. How does the candidate demonstrate leadership, e.g., by creating a vision, motivating others, managing resources, and taking risks?
3. How strong are the candidate's interpersonal skills as shown by their professionalism, teamwork, attitude, and conflict management?
4. How effective is the candidate in communicating clearly, eloquently, and confidently (in written and oral form)?
5. What are the areas in which the candidate could develop further?

*Please note: Questions and topics listed above are for reference only. Actual submission of letters of recommendation is done online, through the application system only.

Those are the exact questions, along with a few check boxes to check on whether exceptional or excellent and etc.
