A, D and E are not parallel with "co cold"

You need verb "is" after ice cap.. otherwise it doesn't make sense.

Temperatures are so cold and ice cap reflective ----> akward construction..
C,D,E are out.

must be between A and B

little polar ice melts vs little of the polar ice melts

"little polar ice" melts --> sounds good

go for A..
