Any Info on UVA Masters in Accounting? [#permalink] New post 31 Aug 2010, 00:06
Does anyone know what kind of profile would be needed to get into a place like UVA for their masters in accounting program? I'm aiming for a 3.7+ GPA and a 700+ GMAT, so would something like that be good enough for UVA, or would it still be an uphill battle with those stats?

Avg GMAT when I emailed them was around 625.

What the hell? That's it? I expected a helluva lot more from some place like UVA. Do any of their people get placed in advisory/consulting positions (even if it isn't MBB consulting)/ibanking/corporate finance positions or are they just a Big 4/GT/BDO factory? Any clue on GPA btw?

Oh also, are you the Dawgie on college confidential? I think you said that you're at UMich right? How do you like that program thus far?

I do post occasionally on college confidential. I am not at a MSA program right now. I believe the GPA range was around 3.4. If you want the newest figures, feel free to just email the admissions lady. She was very nice to me. The placement is mainly BIG 4/GT/BDO etc... IBanking and MBB consulting is not very common for most MSA grads. If you goto UMich's site they actually have MSA placement by company.
