C it is.

C resolves it by correctly referring a condition by it.

Rest all changes the meaning..

Hey guys, I do not find this post particularly helpful.
I am trying to understand why it is C and not the others, why the parallelism is good only on C. But reading this post does not give me the answer.
I guess that just saying "it is C" does not give much of an explanation.

This question is really confusing for me.
Why the others are inapropiate ?
I felt that D was the most parallel of all the others, but this was more a gut feeling than anything else.
Anyone could explain more in details ?
Thank you

There are a lot of posts like this... I also see no value in those, except it makes me think 'what is wrong with my thinking, when everyone else got it right'... i guess people care about the number of posts more than their value... I don't, so I try to explain how I got to my answer (even though it may not be correct... this may show others that they aren't the only ones who have the same logic)

So to the question itself

Any medical test will sometimes fail to detect a condition when it is present and indicate that there is one when it is not.

A. a condition when it is present and indicate that there is one
This isn't ||... it is present vs. there is one

B. when a condition is present and indicate it
same thing here... is present vs. indicate it

C. a condition when it is present and indicate that it is present
BINGO

D. when a condition is present and indicate its presence
(condition) is present vs. indicate its presence... not || and also (if you knew nothing about ||sm) think about this... Who is going to indicate its presence? A test? NO! Because a test FAILS to detect a condition...

E. the presence of a condition when it is there and indicate its presence
this choice is by far the the worst wordy one... so you can eliminate it easily (presence and when it is there is redundant... means the same thing)

hope this helps...

Correct form should be "fail to detect something". B and D are out.
Use of "there is" is not appropriate in A.
E is overcomplicated.

This leaves us with C.

Its C as described by u2lover.

Want to add that we need "conditon" as the first word to complete "fail to detect"

yes... test doesn't indicate "when" but rather "whether" condition is met or not...
