i havent heard anything about a scholarship, but i sure hope that i get one! :-D supposedly, scholarships are given out on a rolling basis.... and when it comes, they send it in an email completely separate from the acceptance email..... so we still have a chance!!!

Do you have to apply for them or they just re evaluate your application and decide if you deserve to get a scolarship either merit or need base?

I'm kind of afraid my application will only be considered to round 3. I applied 1/3 by 10:20 PM PT and it says on the website 01:20 AM 1/4. But I think this is ET, I'll probably call them by the end of the week...
Damn I don't want to wait extra almost 2 months...

I am thinking of driving down to attend a few classes soon. If I finalize something, I will let you know. What days do you plan to be there ?

How does the unofficial transcripts work?

If you don't send them official transcripts and they want to admit you, do they still admit you by the decision date but say that you have to send official transcripts before you matriculate...

or do they ask you to send them official transcripts before they even send you an admit letter?

They will ask you for official transcripts before they release their final decision. Needless to say, if they ask for official transcripts near the end of the decision cycle you are IN.

Does anybody know how many admits have been given to date? I think somebody had access to the new students database.

Thanks!

all admits were invited to join the yahoo group for class of 2009 admits.

currently, there are 153 members, with a handful of these being adcom & current students. also, we do not know what percentage of admits actually voluntarily joined this yahoo group. it's safe to assume that there are at least 150 admits in round 1.
